About Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Life magazine
Berkshire and Buckinghamshire are two of the most prosperous counties in Britain. They’re also two of the most picturesque and so here, at Berkshire & Buckinghamshire Life, we try to reflect those diverse, yet complimentary, qualities.
From our own research we know that our readers are well-off, love to eat out, enjoy the arts and heritage and are keen to be involved in their communities. They also feel strongly about supporting local traders and producers and care deeply about the environment.
So, with this in mind, we carry a five-page diary section every month, helping them plan their busy diaries. Our food and drink features, including our popular restaurant reviews, are read widely and our homes and gardens section is always inspirational.
We also carry interviews with some of the most dynamic people and well- known people in the country. In the past year we have featured Kate Winslet, Sir Steve Redgrave, Tim Brook-Taylor, Fern Britton and Craig Revel Horwood.
Our Real Lives feature focuses on ordinary people in our area who do extraordinary things. Take for example, the 10 year-old boy from Ascot who climbed Africa’s three highest peaks. (He’s since been nominated for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year.) Or the remarkable Eton women who runs a swan sanctuary.
Each issue we focus on particular towns and villages and tell you about their fascinating histories and about the people who make up the local communities.
We also carry regular articles on wildlife, the countryside and environmental issues. The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust is a regular contributor and our photographers are always out and about, capturing quaint scenes and breath-taking vistas from the area.
So from glamour and glitz of Royal Ascot to country walks and cosy pubs in the Chilterns, we like to think that our magazine is as diverse and dynamic as the people who live and work in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire.
If you are visiting or thinking of moving to other counties in Britain the Archant Life portfolio of premium magazines can be enjoyed in most areas. Archant Life is the largest publisher of regional magazines in the UK.
