L'ortolan's 10th Michelin Star

For the tenth consecutive year L’ortolan has been awarded a Michelin Star. This ranks L’ortolan amongst the country’s most exceptional restaurants selected for inclusion in the highly regarded Michelin Guide.

On hearing the announcement, proprietor , Peter Newman said ‘It’s great news that  L’ortolan has been awarded a Michelin star and an outstanding achievement by Alan Murchison and his team who deliver a consistently superb quality of food and service year after year. ‘

Executive Chef, Alan Murchison , was delighted  ‘I am very proud that again Michelin have recognised the quality, hard work and huge effort that the team have put in at L’ortolan. Well done to everyone and keep on pushing!’

L’ortolan is located in Shinfield, on the outskirts of Reading in an elegant former vicarage. The menus crafted by Executive Chef Alan Murchison are in a modern French style using the best seasonal produce available.
