More Berkshire restaurants

The Junction Bar & Brasserie in Windsor

This new addition in the heart of Windsor is ideal for a relaxed gathering of friends or family.

The Vineyard at Stockcross

Intriguing dishes served with feeling and carefully matched wines that provide new dining experiences.

The Crown at Bray

Yes, it’s a gastropub, but be prepared for attractions beyond the juicy summer menu, says Jan Raycroft.

Caldesi in Campagna

Picture this: there were more than a few surprises when Jan Raycroft and Maureen McLean visited Caldesi in Campagna at Bray.

Marco Pierre White Steakhouse Bar & Grill Windsor

Sometimes we like to imagine the ‘nightmare party’ arriving at a restaurant for a gathering. All very nice people, of course.

The Hinds Head

Great, very British and with just enough of Heston’s ‘quirks’ to make lunch or dinner here a memorable occasion.

The Oakley Court

And for our next trick… Jan Raycroft and Maureen McLean discover more than a little magic during a visit to this splendid country house hotel.

The Shurlock Inn

Best Family Dining winner at the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Life Food & Drink Awards 2015.

The Carnarvon Arms

It’s time for a return visit to this fascinating old country inn, not just for us, but for you too, says Jan Raycroft.

Fat Duck

With a ratio of one kitchen staff member to every customer, the restaurant has secured three Michelin stars, and with it, worldwide acclaim. Offering tantalising delicacies such as Jelly of Quail and Mad Hatter’s Tea Party (c.1892), Heston takes pleasure in playing tricks on diners’ perceptions.

Fork, Royal Berkshire Hotel

Good friends can agree to disagree, but fortunately at Fork you’ll find something for everyone on the menu, Maureen McLean decides.

Tally Ho

When the Tally Ho! was threatened with redevelopement, locals and lifelong regulars sprung into action to ensure it stayed as a pub - and became an instant success story.

Bill’s

A lovely, vibrant atmosphere, innovative – and filling – menu choices and attentive, smiling staff. It’s hard to fault Bill’s, recently opened at the celebration of dining that Windsor Royal Station has become.
