With shopping, fairs, markets and plenty of food and drink, we’ve rounded up some of the best festive offerings in Berkshire
Mapledurham - 10-12 November
Head to Mapledurham from 10am-5pm on any of these days for a whole host of festive fun. Entry is £5 (under 16s free) and you can buy gifts, crafts and fine food for loved ones. For £9.50, see the house and watermill (open from 2pm).
Reading - 18 November-1 January
Forbury Gardens is set to be transformed this season with festive chalets serving up Christmas gifts and traditional German sausage. There will also be a fully licenced bar serving mulled wine and cider. Elsewhere, expect amusement rides, ice skating and Santa’s grotto.
Maidenhead - 25 November
Enjoy a selection of stalls and street food throughout the day in Maidenhead as the town gears up for its Christmas lights switch on. Entertainment begins at 4.30pm with the lights and firework display to follow at 6pm.
Wokingham - 26 November
This free community event in the town centre includes over 100 food, drink and craft stalls with entertainment including, but not limited to magic and comedy jugglers. Santa will be in his grotto from 11am to 3pm in the library.
