Fredericks Buckinghamshire is a new initiative designed to help people set up or expand their business

Fredericks Buckinghamshire is anew initiative supported by Buckinghamshire Business First, the organisation whichcreates the conditions for business to invest, grow and thrive in the county.

Fredericks Foundation is designed to help people to set up or expand their business with small loans when they are unable to access traditional funding, while also rebuilding their confidence and self-esteem. With the support of a Fredericks Client Manager, clients can access funding and ongoing business support to ensure the best possible start for their business.

The Fredericks Buckinghamshire launch dinner was held at Pinewood Studios and attended by organisations and businesses from across the County, including representatives from Buckinghamshire County Council, Aylesbury Vale District Council and the Bank of England.

Buckinghamshire County Council has, through Buckinghamshire Business First, already committed 25k to the charity to provide microloans. Martin Tett, Leader of Buckinghamshire County Council (pictured, right), presented the cheque to Paul Barry-Walsh, Chief Executive of the Fredericks Foundation.

Martin says:"I was delighted to present a cheque for 25,000 to the Fredericks Foundation in Buckinghamshire, providing microfinance for start up and existing businesses within the County.Buckinghamshire Business First has been the driver in launching this superb initiative and will continue to support and develop it in the future."

Buckinghamshire Business First will be further supporting the Bucks Hub by offering rooms and facilities at The Clare Foundation in Saunderton, together with additional funding.

Tim King, Client Manager at Fredericks Buckinghamshire, is very grateful for the support from Buckinghamshire Business First: "The economic downturn has affected people across the country and we work hard to help people access funding and advice to help them discover their potential. The support of Buckinghamshire Business First, an influential business organisation, is essential to help us support our clients and encourage the formation of new businesses in Bucks."
